My daughters daycare is kicking her out because she is going to have serial casting as treatment for her Spastic Cerebral Palsy. She will not be able to walk without use of a walker, and for the first two weeks she will have to crawl or be carried. She's almost three, so she's not too big to help.
When we enrolled her in the daycare we sat down with them and explained everything, I have her registration papers that say what she has and what was going to happen and they agreed to take her, do they have the right to kick her out? They signed the paper, isn't that a binding agreement? We're in the middle of nowhere and we can't afford a private aide or sitter, we have three daughters all together and her medical costs are sending us over the edge. If I do have to find her somewhere else to go, are there any programs to help cover the cost?
What programs are available to help parents with disabled children?
Wonderful help information here:

I'm not sure about the school. You should contact an attorney and see what they say. A lawyer would know if it's a binding agreement.

What programming languages go into a video game?
Okay. I'm going to be kind of picky with this question. What I want to know is what different programming languages are commonly incorporated into a video game (I am speaking primarily of PC games). A friend told me that several different languages must go into a game to get it just right.
I am a decent c++ programmer; it is the language that I am most fluent in. If I wanted to create an RPG with mostly 2D graphics, are there any recommended languages that I should learn in order to add to the depth of my game?
If you could please cite any sources, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Ok, it is good that you have narrowed it down to 'PC' and 'RPG', the short answer is: you can use any language you want just as long as you can: draw to the screen, play some sounds...etc.
Now, there's nothing you can't do with C++, and most of the PC games are indeed written in C++, but I am talking about newer games like Half-life, which use 3D graphics.
Your friend is kind of wrong, you do not need SEVERAL programming languages, although it is not strange that many projects use more than one language.
If you want to make a 2D graphics RPG game and you are 'fluent in C++', I'd recommend you to just go and pick a graphics engine for C++, What graphics engine (or library so to speak)?, that's another story my friend, because it all depends on your needs :)
I recommend you to visit the Game Programming Wiki at:
gpwiki.org
, you'll certainly find lots of examples and a more technical (and much more detailed) guide to what I just said above.
Reply:for a 2d rpg game, C++ is a great program. Go with what you know. if not that, try visual basic
Reply:Any language that you can do graphics in:
ASM, C, C++, VB, C#, VB.Net, Java, Python, anything pretty much.

What are the types of jobs in computer programming and software?
What are the names of the basic jobs and categories, and what does each one do? REMEMBER, in software programming!
What are the types of jobs in computer programming and software?
There are many terms that essentially describe the same position. Software engineer, programmer, developer are all pretty much the same thing. Certain industries may favor one or another but in the end, it's just writing code. These usually come in levels of junior or entry level; mid-level; or senior.
There's also software architect. This is generally a much higher position than engineer/programmer/developer, as architects must have a comprehensive understanding of development concepts; a high-level view of complex software; and often some elements of project management skills.
Depending on the organization, sometimes the senior developers are also the architects.
Then in the support side of things, there is QA testing, which can pretty much be anyone who is moderately competent using a computer and received a certificate from some course in software testing. QA engineers are more technical people who bridge the gap between testers and the developers who write the software; QA engineers often assist in analyzing test cases and debugging.
And of course, with all the positions above, there is an equivalent position for web-specific applications, simply put "web" in front of the title.
Venturing somewhat outside of programming, but still related, is database engineers/developers, and DBA (database administrators). In larger and more regimented companies, the role of working with the database directly is placed directly on database-specific individuals, and the software and database groups must communicate project requirements and technical specifications.

Where can I find a reasonably priced program to help me create a logo for my company?
I have a good idea of what I want, but I'd like to buy some software to help me put my idea together.
Where can I find a reasonably priced program to help me create a logo for my company?
You could just take your ideas to a screen printing shop.
Im sure they could help with your ideas and even put it on shirts and stuff.
Reply:no program is reasonably priced...farm it out to a graphics person.
Reply:you can probably find out at circuit city
Reply:The program I would use is Adobe Illustrator(CS, CS2, or CS3). But you said free. Also have you ever done logo design or other design work. If not I'd suggest you find a professional so your logo will look professional and not like you were just trying to save money by doing it the cheap way.
Reply:You should only use one program to design a logo and that is Adobe Illustrator and if you've never used it before or designed a logo I strongly suggest hiring a graphic designer.

What type of protection should I get before shopping my programming idea around?
I have an idea for a program that I think would be quite beneficial to a particular market, but I have no experience in programming. How can I protect myself and my idea from being taken by someone? (Copy write, patent, etc...?)
What type of protection should I get before shopping my programming idea around?
You need to sign an NDA, preferable hire a freelance programmer from your city/country. You can find many freelance programmers at website like http://ww.mlearning.in/ .

What are good schools to learn game programming?
I read about DeVry, and it looks like the things I am interested in learning. I wasn't sure if anyone would know of any schools that would be good for this, or learning how to create an MMORPG and things of this sort. Any help or information on schools who fall under this will be appreciated.
What are good schools to learn game programming?
DeVry is okay prestige-wise...you might want to also look in to Champlain, Tulane (you would major in Computer Science)...
You should really think about majoring in Computer Science, because more universities offer that major--and many of them are much more prestigious than DeVry or other schools with a game programming major. Here's a list of those schools: http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college...

What is a good curriculum or way to teach a child (age 11) programming?
I'm looking for a program, video series website or something that makes understanding the fundamentals of programming fun and interesting. I'd rather not spend a fortune in case they lose interest. If possible, it would be good to learn a useful program language.
Any suggestions?
What is a good curriculum or way to teach a child (age 11) programming?
Batch files are a great place to start.
These are actually text files which list programs you want to run sequentially, set up conditions where you want to run them or not, and send them or receive variables. In Unix and Linux they are called Shell Scripts. I have linked to a batch file introduction/tutorial, and might mention that around 1990 I played a very funny adventure game which was nothing more than a batch file.
After that I would go for an old-fashioned interpreted language. Basic was great because you could learn the syntax by entering commands in immediate mode, and the computer would execute them or fail right away. Some Basic interpreters are still available (RealBasic is a basic compiler which has an attached interpreter and it's free for this sort of use). Python does exactly the same thing as well: except it needs you to import libraries.
Then he or she could go for a compiled language, and Pascal is a language which was designed to teach programming.
Reply:List I'm providing you is best way to teach or setting feet of children to program a computer. You can start without any doubt.
1. First step should be introduction of computers, internet, websites and programming.
2. After understanding the basics concepts, start with HTML. Take a book, which visually teach HTML. That way, child will develop coding concept. After finishing the HTML course, you must start JavaScript to build logic because by HTML, one can design the layout but interactive thing.
JavaScript is easy and attractive to setting feet on programming.
After finishing JavaScript child will must develop basics concepts of programming such, variables, loops, conditions, etc.
Now he can start high level language such Java or C#
