I have been running Ubuntu for months now. When it is used with the Automatix application, I get almost all the functionallity of Windows without the issues associated with spyware and virui.
Reply:Could be that your computer has become Virus'd,,,or you have a lot of adware on it.


First,,,if you have no antivirus program,,,download a free for home use copy of Avast antivirus,,,then set it up so it scans during boot up,,,,then get a copy of Spysweeper,,,and run it.


after all of this,,go get a copy of ZoneAlarm,,,also free for home use,,,after doing all of this,,if your PC is still screwed up,,,then you should consider doing a clean install of your windows software.

I assume you want to use the Simplex algorithm for numerical solution of the linear programming problem. This problem isn't "finding the maximum and minimum" but rather maximizing or minimizing a given linear functional on a set of real variables, given a set of linear inequalities on the variables.

After graduation I wanna take a break to travel and help those less fortunate, where do I look for programs?

After graduating from college this spring, I want to take a year off to help the less fortunate by traveling to third world countries. Are there any programs out there that would help me to do that? I know the Peace Corps requires at least 2 years of service..is there any program that requires less then that time since I only have a year off?

Reply:You should actually be able to get some information on this from your college's career center. You might also look into City Year and its parent organization, AmeriCorps, which are great sources for volunteering opportunities, although I think those mostly focus on domestic programs.

I need a good community based kids program for my kids to join or help start up. Do you know a good one?

I'm looking to start something for my kids, mainly after school, something a home schooler parents would like so that other families could join them. (I'm not a home schooler parent). I would like them to have hands on experiences in being able to develope small skills to build character and confidence and to be able to help themseves and others. At home skills, tools, car care, any thing related to or around the home including cooking and sewing. Looking for projects but nothing in the way of sports; excepting hiking and camping. Any thing out doors would be great. Also day trips to business "friendly" local business locations, including farms and ranches. I'm a retired teacher and counselor. I live 30-40 miles south of Fort Worth, TX.

Check with the local libraries and Park Districts-they offer such experiences in most areas, especially in the summer months. The Boys and Girls Club and Junior Achievement have regular schedules of such, as well as scouting organizations.
Reply:Music! American Piano Schools proved it and offers advice and service, trips and events also work well, like a Friday After School Club. You can hire a music teacher to come in and give group lessons.

I don't know of any software like this...what you're wanting is a study buddy, and I think those are usually free, and readily available.

I have heard doing new things improves your memory. Doesn't have to be large differences but small ones are significant as well.


Like listening to a different kind of music. Or taking a different route to work or school. If you drive put a piece of tape on the steering wheel or bike handle.. then on the other or another part of it tape a piece of velvet or something scratchy. When you feel something different under your hand you are conscious of it and it gets your mind going.


See if your friends and family would be willing to have a word of the day and when you like the word deem it the word of the week. Encourage others to use it often.


Try a new language. Instead of listening to music on your headphones buy a knew language CD and play it instead when you're doing daily things.
