What about if you're planning to apply for a college and pursue a computer programming career? Would Calculus be a better class on the application than math studies?
In order to pursue a degree in programming, do you think it is essential for me to take Calculus?
Calculus will probably be required (I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was.
Reply:Most universities, for computer science or programming applicants, will want you to have taken as much math, to as high a level as can while in high school. So a big "yes" to the calculus. In addition, they'll require you to take calc in college, so if you take it in high school, that class will be far easier for you.
