There are some programming languages like CGI, ISAPI, NSAPI, ASP. What do you think is the best for creating an interactive website, in terms of i) easiness of learning ii)versatiliy iii) your preference?

no one makes a research about ASP.NET and PHP how favorite they are, but it's not a problem. PHP is used widely and favorite because it's not to be lost your money to learn, to write and to publish your application. PHP is one language that can perform a complex web application easily... and the most important thing from my opinion is...

PHP works without any of component you have to write in the code for loading any feature into your program. It's simply.





PHP works flexibly, program can work with Windows Web Server, Linux Web server and the almost Hosting Company, they all are accepting PHP.

Reply:php and javascript are the most widely available on most servers, asp is very good but mostly currently only available on Microsoft powered servers. I find php the easiest to use and it is very good at handling database control. For more interesting effects javascript is fairly straight forward and very powerful. do not confuse javascript with java.
Reply:ASP---is the most current and widely utilized so I suggest you go for ASP because it is object oriented as well. CGI and the rest requires a lot of hard coding meaning old school programming like programming in C and C++. As for ASP you need to just be creative and its like programming in Delphi / Pascal or Visual Basic, It is a no brainer. You can also easily understand ,develop and enhance ready-made codes easily available on the net
