What are financial programs to help single mothers?

I would like to know every possible program to help single mothers financially with housing, schooling, work, childcare etc. in California. Also, some listings of inexpensive rooms to rent for 200-300 a month in Ventura County.

I would say go to your Dept of Human Services and they should be able to help with medical insurance and food plus give you information concerning the housing or other programs that will assist you. Just ask the help is there you just have to find it. It will work out!

Reply:Whatever you do, don't go to the Oxnard welfare office. If you can get away with it go someplace like Simi Valley. Say that you have family out there and that location is more convinient for you. Report It
