Need help on programming my police scanner?
Well I see by the list you're in a populated area......, I'm in the UP

So anyway there is a million frequencies to go through by you, I imagine most of the stuff is going to be or will be soon on the APCO25 digital system, (you have the right scanner)

How it (APCO25) basically works is you put in the "control" channel on your scanner and if there is activity the scanner will tune to that activity, so when you see the "row" of frequencies you put in only the "red" one you can put the " blue" one too if you want(they don't cahnge often)

So you will have to go down the list and plug in the ones (just red and blue) near you, say 25-50 miles, you wont get farther than that on the APCO system without a roof antenna, the system is designed with a lot of small area lower power transmitters

Now here is a list of other stuff in your county, you will have to go through and see what interests you, if you are near another county just go up to the glove and click on another county
